Tie a Day, Number 58

Monday’s tie was one that Sam picked out for me to wear. I can’t remember wearing it, but because it has so much black in it I feel like I must have worn it at least once. Black has been one of my favorite colors for a long time.

Solid black with peacock feathers outlined in red silk, this is a very nice tie. It probably would have gone much better with a red shirt, but that is not my color.

It is interesting that a friend was telling me that she saw 5 peacocks on the Eastern Shore just the day before. Coincidence? Sam did not know about the possiblity of peacocks being a part of a trip story that I would hear. Odd.

I don’t know if I believe her, but if she believes that I saw a monkey in a tree near Roanoke in November (which I completely lied about just because I thought it was funny), then I will believe her story about peacocks. She said two of them were white. Ghost peacocks?

So let me see if I understand. I have to believe a lie for you to believe my very true peacock story? I think you should take your family on a peacock hunt.

Janene, in the words of Ronald Reagan, "Trust but verify." Exotic animals are not known to inhabit Virginia. That is why my claim for monkey spotting was funny.
Your claim of spotting peacocks on the Eastern Shore is similar to the time I spotted ostriches in Northern Virgina after a Redskins football game. It is unverified, but I believed it.
I want to believe in peacocks on the Eastern Shore, but I have to have to exchange my belief for something, don't I?
Even if it is only a joke to me, being able to have you claim that there are wild monkeys in Roanoke is funny!

Janene I believe in peacocks on the Eastern Shore! http://bit.ly/bpPWRx Saw it on TV this am. I would have called you on the phone if I thought you would have been up. I had to rewind my live TV and watch it twice!
